Step 1. Place your middle finger on fret 3 on the top E string.
Step 2. Place your index finger on the A string on fret 2.
Step 3. Lastly, place your ring finger on fret 3 on the bottom e string.

Optional. For a more powerful sounding G chord, move your ring finger up a string (onto the B string fret 3) and add your little finger where your ring finger used to be (bottom e string fret 3).
